“Get in good trouble, necessary trouble, and help redeem the soul of America.” —John Lewis
The Guilford Peace Alliance
invites you to gather with us on
Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 5pm to 6pm
to honor the life of Congressman
and Civil Rights Hero
John Robert Lewis Representative
for Georgia’s Fifth Congressional District,
who died on July 17, 2020.
Please be aware that this will be a far smaller gathering than our last, as the Guilford Craft Expo will occupy most of the town Green as craftspeople are setting up their tents.
Join us at the corner of Boston and Whitfield Streets, across from Page’s, where we hold our Saturday vigils. We can then spread across the entire lower portion of the Green, which should hold up to a thousand of us—but not the many thousands who have joined us at our prior rallies. We will do big rallies again soon. But for this national day of protest, bring your signs, flags, banners, and your passion for justice & democracy.
We will hold our regular Saturday vigil on July 19, 11am to noon.
