PARKING for the Guilford Peace Alliance’s NO KINGS DAY March

Our No Kings II demonstration on Saturday, October 18th, from 11am till noon will be a march around the perimeter of the Guilford Green. A fife and drum will be at the corner of Boston and Whitfield Streets, our customary vigil site. We will line up behind them on Boston Street by 11 am.  Led by the fife and drum, we will march up Whitfield Street, walking clockwise around the green, holding our signs and American flags, singing and chanting, until 12 noon. Let’s be loud in our love for our country and keep it peaceful.  But why the perimeter you ask? – because a Gilmore Girls Fan Festival has booked the center of the green for that day and we graciously deferred.

Please plan to arrive early, since parking will be tight. The Gilmore Girls Fan Fest folks have reserved the big St. George’s Catholic Church parking lot across from their tent on the Green — do not try to park there. We have no access to it.

For those who prefer to sit:

To all of you who prefer to sit in chairs during our rallies, I apologize for not addressing you sooner! While most of us will be circling the Green, you, who have been part of all our gatherings, are most welcome to sit for the hour we’re all together. Please feel free to bring your chairs and sit on the grass along Boston Street or elsewhere on the Green so you can hear the fife & drum and be an important part of things.

Bring your signs, your voices, your love of country!  We need you and we hope to see you there!

Most of all: Bring your friends! Bring your families, your neighbors, your co-workers!

This is not our last rally and we need to stand tall and speak loudly in defense of our democracy!
